When I’m talking to people generally the first question that someone asks is ‘What is a Virtual Assistant?’ As a Virtual Assistant (VA) I partner with you to support your efforts on making your business successful. In essence, I do the things in your business that take time away from you working on what you do best in your business. There are a variety of ways I can help:
- marketing support/internet research,
- calendar management,
- screen email/correspondence,
- blog and social media updating
- event planning/meeting preparation,
- job postings/resume screening
The benefit of a VA is that I’m not an employee. You only pay for my services when I’m working for you. Also, you don’t pay all the expenses associated with an employee such as setting up a workspace and employee benefits. And even though I’m not in the office with you, I’m only a phone call or an email away.
In addition to being a Virtual Assistant I’m also a small business owner. I know what its like to feel the pressure of owning your own business. The day never seems to be long enough to get everything done for ‘the business’ and still have time to enjoy your life. The elusive Life-Work balance for a small business owner is very difficult. A VA can help by freeing up time for Life and thus let you Work Smart, Not Long.
